Mayor of Bolton: 1991-92 (Labour)

Born: c. 1930

Tailor's Cutter - Tailor at Burton's for 34 years.

Representative for the Tailors and Garment Workers Union.

Progress coordinator at British Aerospace 1979-91.

Represented Halliwell Ward 1972-75, Derby Ward from 1975.

Opened Westhoughton Gardens of Remembrance as Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee on 13 June 1996.

Member of the Management Committee of Bolton Labour Party.

Chairman of Halliwell Ward Association.

His wife, Eileen, was Mayoress - she and their daughters Lynne, Janet and Jill were all nurses.
